Fundraising
Fundraising is hard work and requires professional preparation. Once the groundwork has been laid (investor readiness), we move on to implementation together. I provide operational support during the approach, pitches and negotiations right through to closing.
Successful financing is never the result of pure mediation. It is the result of professional preparation, clear structure and realistic expectations.
Many start-ups approach me with the idea that their supposedly ‘perfect’ documents just need to be sent out to a wide range of potential investors – someone will invest. That's not how financing works.
Investors make quick and consistent decisions. First impressions count. There is usually no second chance. That is why the pitch deck, financial planning, investment structure and, if applicable, the company valuation must be consistent, realistic and precisely tailored to the target investors.
The first step is therefore always a critical analysis and targeted optimization of the existing documents. The aim is to identify weaknesses, inconsistencies and unanswered questions at an early stage and to avoid unclear assumptions or unfinished homework only becoming apparent during investor discussions.
This preparation is not a formal act, but a crucial factor for success. It requires time, experience and a deep understanding of how investors think, ask questions and evaluate.
